The Everglades New Directions took a trip down to the Everglades and experienced an air-boat tour through the swamp with Billy Swamp Safari Tour. Afterwards, students were treated to a live, alligator demonstration.	Click pictures to enlarge.

Miami Heat Game During the 2008-2009 NBA season, New Directions headed to American Airlines Arena to see the Miami Heat faceoff against the Cleveland Cavaliers and Houston Rockets. However, the Program Director Dr. Rubin had arranged for more than just watching the game. The Miami Heat Public Relations Department gave the students and staff a behind-the-scenes tour of the video production area and luxury boxes as well as the in-game promotion set-up area. As an added bonus, New Directions was given free t-shirts and the chance to come onto the court to welcome the Heat players during their pre-game warm-up exercises!	Click pictures to enlarge.

Washington Nationals Batting Practice In March of 2009, New Directions was able to attend batting practice on the field with the Washington Nationals. Students got to meet the players, coaches and received some official Nationals merchandise.	Click pictures to enlarge.
